About the Navy Chief

Chiefs are known as “Keepers of Heritage, Masters of Change” for their role in preserving Navy tradition while adapting to modern warfare. The Chiefs Mess is a sacred institution where senior enlisted leaders mentor, train, and guide the next generation of sailors.
